She's a type designer, specifically augmented reality typefonts, an artist, designer and art director living in New York, USA. Her projects evolve around type and its three-dimensional properties. Combining design and modern technology, she questions and transforms traditional design practices into something new.
Rajshree got her degree in Visual Communications in the year 2018, from the
National Institute of Fashion Technology
in Kolkata,
India. Her masters was four years later in 2022, in Creative Technology from
NYU Tisch
, Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP)
in New York, USA.
As of 2023, she works as an art director for
Wieden+Kennedy
in New York (WKNY), a full-service creative agency.
In her work, Rajshree focuses on fluidity and emotion. Her ideas almost always start as a 2D concept and then get transferred to
a 3D image. She combines typography design with modern technologies, making her AR typeface usable for movies, games and films.
She's the designer of her own typeface, "TypeSpace", which can be altered by the user in an app. She describes her typeface as
"a font that can produce different variations in all dimensions."
In the
SEEN Symposium, she informed her audience that her project about AR typefaces is finished and that she now focuses more
on 3D typefaces.
